Wow, what an amazing journal Arun. I subscribed to your travel blog long time ago. Your travels across India are inspiring. I have visited some places as you and it is always interesting to see how someone else experienced it.
I passed through Chhatru on a rainy mid July day in 2006. It looks much nicer when it’s sunny as in your pictures;)

After five years of traveling and trekking in summer , this year my travel agenda looks very weak! But after reading your account I think I have to find a way to take a few days off, even though I may not be able to go as far as Spiti this time.

@rich, would love to know how Spiti was in the rains. I just checked you have written journals on it. Shall read through.
@mridula, you should be the last person to say Spiti is far. Isn’t it a hop skip and jump? Hop on to a bus to Manali, Skip across Rohtang and jump!
