Delhi is the only big city where I end up travelling frequently. It is a city with so much of rich heritage that I prefer to stop for a day or two in Delhi whenever I am transiting anywhere in North India. Each time I am there, I try to visit a heritage site or two. Yet, in my dozen or so visits to Delhi so far, the list of places I have seen in Delhi is a small fraction of its ancient remains. Humayun’s Tomb is a recent addition to my list of Delhi of yeteryears.

I read the blog. The blog helps me very much and attracts me.It is helpful for tour lover. Thanks the author and the blog writer .
great snaps as usual. Humayuns tomb has been a personal favorite. It might be blasphemy to some but some of my friends even prefer HT over the Taj Mahal. I havent seen the Taj Mahal in person so my descion waits for another day. If you go by history HT is also a monument of love, that of a queen to her a husband. That the Last mughals last stand took place here adds to its mistique.
What is also important is the conservation that has taken place over the last few years due to the Gaha Khan foundation as well as some India Inc. Largess. I remember seeing a HT enclosed in a undergrowth over run rubble path in 1994 far cry from the manicured shrubs of todays Mughal Garden. Well done delhi. If only the political will extended to other places in India
I liked the pictures and the other related posts. Good information
