I am back..

I am back! Thank you for all those who had wished for a good trip. The Himachal trip was shorter than I had initially planned, and we covered Lahaul, Spiti and Kinnaur valleys and some lower regions in Shivaliks, Shimla and Manali. We skipped Ladakh which was part of the initial plan, as it would have been too much. It was a quick trip where we did not really spend much time, but had a good idea of Himachal's landscapes, which could work as an input for further journeys to the region. Ofcourse, detailed log will follow on India Travel Blog. But I have plenty of backlog to updated from the North East(it is already more than a year since I was there!) and once that is done, it will be about Himachal. Looks like this is a busy year on India Travel Blog, and can't really wait to share all those beautiful memories of the journeys!

Arun how about quick five top tips for Lahaul and Spiti as I am heading that way in a weeks time. Good to see you back.
Spiti is a desert country and it gets hot in the day and the mountain sun becomes unbearable. If you can take that, consider Suraj Tal to Batal Trek via Chandra Tal, or Bhrigu lake trek.
Else, stay in Batal and Losar and walk around freely as you feel like. Batal is said to be 16km from Chandratal, but it seemed like less. Another option is to stay in the beautiful high village of Kibber near Kaza and then walk around. The region between Rohtang and Kaza is immensely beautiful. Avoid the region after Kaza, as it pales compared to the former area.
Arun we are planning to do this trek

What do you say? I hope I am not bothering you.
I dont know these areas per se, they obviously look pretty from the images. It looks like you are the route goes east from Kaza. From my observation the areas west of Kaza are way more beautiful than the eastern parts.
The outlook book on treks in India seems to have a trek route map starting from kaza, going westwards(Another traveller I bumped into showed me!). Why dont you check it out once?
I saw the pictures of HP on your Image Gallery. As always, beautiful! Looking forward to reading details of your trip. Welcome back Traveller :)
Thanks for the reply Arun, we are doing this trek as we have pre-booked it with Muse. Anyway Spiti I am sure needs more than one visit. Did you manage to see Chandratal?
Thanks Celine.
